Applicants must have completed 18 years at time of admission. |

Applicants for Ordinary membership should pay a sum of Rs.3300/- which includes,
1. A refundable deposit o Rs.1000/- on termination of their membership.
2. Non-refundable entrance fee of Rs.500/-
3. One year subscription of Rs.1800/- at the time of application. |

Cheque payments should be made in the form of two cheques of Rs.1000/- and Rs.2300/- respectively in
favor of "DAVID SASSOON LIBRARY & READING ROOM" |

After the interview the application is placed before the Managing Committee in its committee meeting. The applicant is eligible to use the library only after his/her application is passed in the committee meeting or as per special permission given by the President Emeritus / President / Hon. Secretary / Asst. Hon. Secretary. The applicants membership commences from the date of their application being passed by the Managing Committee. |

In case of rejection or cancellation of the application by the Managing Committee a sum of Rs.1950/- is given back to the applicant. |

Members should collect their Identity Card & three Reader's Tickets after their names are put on the NOTICE BOARD of the library. They can buy a copy of the rules & regulations from library office at the cost of Rs.20/- each. |

Member have to pay their yearly subscription of Rs.1200/- at one time before the expiry date of their membership. |

Members who wish to discontinue their membership have to submit their resignation 15 days prior to their
discontinuation date. Without the resignation if their membership is continued then they have to pay fees for the following year. |

All the rights of admission are reserved with the Managing Committee. The Managing Committee is not liable to assign any reason to the applicant if his/her membership is rejected by the Managing Committee. |

The applicant should have a permanent address within the limits of the city of Greater Mumbai / Thane District / Navi Mumbai. He has to submit a suitable evidence to that effect like Ration Card / Passport. |
